Trying to build Unity from source- indicator-printers fails
I'm attempting to build Unity from source for Arch Linux. I've built about half of the packages, but now I'm stuck on indicator-printers. When I try to build indicator-printers, it fails with the error: /usr/bin/ld: cannot find -ldbusmenu-glib-lcups. I think I've discovered the problem, but I'm not sure how to fix it. In the Makefile after the failed build, I see a list of Service_Libs. All the libs listed in that section start with -l. All the libraries listed in that section are on my computer, except for -ldbusmenu-glib-lcups. Searching the internet didn't find any responses for a library of that name, and that library doesn't make sense to me because it seems to be the combination of two libraries: -libdbusmenu-glib and -lcups. Both of these are located on my system. My thought is that when the Makefile is being created, there should be a space located between -ldbusmenu-glib and -lcups. How would I go about fixing this issue? I'm not even sure where to begin to get that changed. I've asked the question on Launchpad, but so far I've not received a response. I'd like to get this cleared up so that I can continue building Unity. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!
