You can use "rpmunpack" to turn that RPM into a CPIO. You can then convert that to a tarball. Then rebuild the module.

I believe the latest ATI drivers (that came out today) have the source included.

Check the website again, they may include a tarball w/ the new drivers.

well i just wen to the ati sit and there was still just the rpms. Here's the page i went to ati driver page .

Also on the install tips page there was this:

For GPL and QPL license reasons (copies are provided with the driver
package) the sources of the panel application are included in the driver
package. If you are interested in these files then please find find them
(bundled as an archive) after driver installation on your system at:
/usr/src/fglrx_panel_sorce.tgz

and this

Sample Source Code
The drivers for your graphics adapter do come with some sample files
that are also provided as source. The sources are not required when
just using the driver. The sources and related documentation are meant
for usage by advanced developers and can be found in the file
/usr/src/fglrx_sample_source.tgz

If you know where i can find the source please post the url. I'm gonna try that rpm unpack for now.

thanks

to extract the files from the rpm, install rpmunpack & cpio, and :
Code:
rpmunpack < fglrx-glc22-4.3.0-$pkgver.i586.rpm | gzip -d | cpio -idmuv
I'm trying to create a PKGBUILD for it & also struggling to setup my bro's 9200 on AL. When it's ready I'll submit it to bbs.archlinux.org
