how to get gui started

Okay, just installed arch 2012.11.1 and looking the cli. How do I get a desktop to load? I remember something about using: start x but that did not work. Using Dell 1545, 4gb ram, 7gb hd. No problems with the install, other than, no bcm4312 firmware. Somehow I will try to get that installed too. Tried to use Debian but no wireless there either. Just trying to get something different to improve over Ubuntu 12.04.
STUCK

Hi,

the arch wiki is a great place. Did you have a look at:
https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Xorg#Installation

Regarding your wireless not working with Debian: I think the following may be what you need http://wiki.debian.org/wl

Distros like Arch and Debian don't spoon feed you: most likely you'll need to do some reading to get the most out of them.

Cheers,

Evo2.
