Are you asking what WebSphere is?

Okay. I have never heard of signing up for a class and didn’t know what I was taking.

That said, WebSphere is IBM’s Java Application Server using J2EE and is used by larger companies to provide applications on their inra/extranets. WebSphere is also used by other companies that develop applications for e-learning, business process mapping, and many other types of applications that will be accessed by web clients.

You can go to www.redbooks.ibm.com and type in websphere and read the redbooks on the applicaton. This link http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/infoce...uninstall.html is the WebSphere Information Center that will provide you with WebSphere related information, too.

Websphere is an IBM branding for a suite of products related to web development and web servers. There are a load of products under the banner.
