As the message suggests, it get's triggered automatically (I think from cron) when the system detects a power problem. I normally see this when one power supply on a dual-power system has failed so the server keeps on going and without the message you might not notice.

You should check the error log on the system and, if necessary, get an IBM engineer to check out the box. If there isn't a problem, the message will still continue unless removed so you'll need to track it down and delete it from crontab or whatever.

Cool

In order to remove this message :
1) First of all, perform a system backup (just in case...) smit mksysb
2) crontab -l >/tmp/crontab.txt # creates a text file with the current crontab jobs
3) vi /tmp/crontab.txt, remove the powerdown line.
4) crontab -r /tmp/crontab.txt #re-creates the crontab reading crontab.txt
