problem installing addon_printing-drivers-34.tar.xz
Hi zk,
I have a problem with installing addon_printer-drivers-34.tar.xz
I performed a 4mlinux update, but this issue remained.
The best way to explain what happens when trying to install is by this short video.
That is exactly how it works. My guess is that you have successfully installed printing drivers. Go to to Settings>Devices>Printer/CUPS to configure your printer.
Perhaps that is because you are not logged into the CUPS interface. Go to the "Administration" menu and chose the "Add printer" option. You will be asked to log in.
Ahhhhh of course!
Even seasoned Linux users can overlook something obvious.
Many thanks and hopefully someone else might find this thread useful.
Ps, another reason why I thought the printer addon wasn't installed is because I
wasn't able to find it in the 'var' file. I thought every new addon installed would be placed in 'var'. So why isn't it there?
