linux snmpd and freebsd snmpget

i have two linux boxes both running an snmpd.

i'm trying to use rrdtool to do network usage graphs remotely from a freebsd box, but i'm having issues.

whenever i try to get the values from the freebsd box, it gives me 538976288 for the in every time, and a differrent (wrong and static) one for out.

i have tried querying it from 3 different bsd boxes. however, if i query from the other linux box, it works perfectly fine. i get the same problem with both linux boxes if i query remotely.

i used the same rocommunity string and there are no IP or OID restrictions.

any ideas? or does linux just hate bsd :-/
