FWIW - about logging into freebsd forum

Hi

I do not know what these guys are playing at, but its like the spanish inquisition trying to do anything that involves either retrieving a password, or creating a new account.

With creating a new account the questions are overkill [ how old are you, whats your date of birth, where you live...

And this is true for both scenarios with "google are you human", where you are repeatedly presented with one set of images after another - it doesnt stop - too many are not enough. Worse is that you know that you are actually working free of charge for google while training their image recognition program.

Whats the point?

I wont signup for the bloody forum.

This doesn't seem like the best place for complaints about the FreeBSD forum.

The account registration is likely to be the forum software defaults.

The captcha is annoying, but it's used to stop spambots.

I've used FreeBSD on and off since 8.x release but haven't signed up there either. Registering there isn't required to use the OS.
