Question Freebsd sendmail + dovecot, helping setup for username@domain login names

Hi,

After a week i am finally able to run all services that i wanted to,
now i use sendmail + dovecot,
they both work fine, however.. i would like to use a full login name (with the mail box correctly) example: contact@compnetix.com
contact@manpixy.com

now the way mine is configured now is just the default, so i need a system user to login,
and ofcourse i can not create a system user contact@compnetix.nl (only 16 charracters are allowed)

so can somebody help me set it up?
i only need to know how to acomplish this, and remember, i'm quite a noob when it comes to freebsd, however i know some basic commands from linux (using freebsd only with console, no graphical things installed.)

if you know a place with a good manual how to set this up.. it's fine to,
i read something about mysql using for mail systems, however i only found mysql setups for imap courier - postfix.

i hope somebody can guide me in the correct direction, maybe virtual users or something, i do got full acces on the mail server, so manually editing is not a problem, not to create mailboxes..

regards,
Marco

Drop sendmail and use postfix instead - it's faster, more secure, easier to setup and has more features. You'll need to use SASL in order to create the user@domain.com username style. You can also add MySQL and PAM to keep accounts in a relational database instead of a flat db4 database, especially for mega Email servers.

For starting with a small server I would recommend postfix, dovecot and SASL; Oh, and pick up at least the 3 good new books on postfix.
