/dev entries

My 3 IDEdisks are working properly and I can access and use them without a problem, however I have noticed that my /dev folder has entries listed for ad1 and ad3 as having more than one slice. I used sysinstall to fdisk and label these. I edited fstab and mounted them as ad1sd1 and ad3d1....I believe(I am at school right now)but like I said this is not a matter of not working but rather I would just like to know if this is common.

I'm guessing they have at least ad3s1a and ad3s1c (and same for the other)? And I'm thinking you didn't really fully dangerously dedicate these disks.

Do the following and post the output here:
Code:
disklabel ad1s1 && disklabel ad3s1
That will show me for sure what is going on.
