ACPI failed

So I tried to install Zorin19 on a Dell optiplex gx620. The attempt made it to the Zorin install menu, but any attempt to either run the "DVD only" or "install", resulted in a error message, "ACPI PCC Probe Failed". Does anybody know of a work around for this?

I asked the same question in the Zorin Forum, but they are forever down for maintenance, and I can't get back to the reply I received.

If zorin19 is a linux distro put acpi=off for a kernel boot parameter. If it's not then what is it?

It is Zorin 10. The linux pre-load menu is editable? Your like saying, go into the BIO's turn off the quick boot. Then when Zorin starts to load, I can stop the process with what board keys? To much microsoft knowledge not enough linux.

When you see the menuentry in Grub for Zorin, highlight it using the arrow key on your keyboard if it is not already highlighted. Then press the 'e' key on the keyboard and you will see the actual menu as shown in grub.cfg. Arrow down to the line which begins with the word 'linux' and then scroll to the right and enter the option suggested above.
