Ubuntu 32-bit Future?

Hi all,

I've done some Googles, but have been unable to find definitive clarification for the future of 32-bit Ubuntu, particularly Ubuntu MATE.

Will Ubuntu 18.04 have a 32-bit edition, or will 16.04 be the last LTS release for 32-bit? I mainly want to know if keeping my 32-bit system on the latest version of Ubuntu MATE will lead me to a non-LTS dead end at some point.

Many thanks!

I saw those articles, and they suggest Ubuntu would be dropping Live Install images from 16.10-17.10, then drop the kernel for 18.04 LTS, although after an extra click or two the 16.10 live install link is still there, so maybe that's out of date?

Perhaps it hasn't been decided yet - although Canonical should get the word out soon so folks know how to plan deployments at some point. Does anyone else happen to know?

I have Intel processors supporting both 32 and 64 bit, I could've install 64 bit but I didn't. Go here and check out the description: https://ubuntu-mate.org/download/
