Not able to login into Ubuntu GUI with LDAP client.Help me please!!!. URGENT

Hi

I am facing an issue in Ubuntu 16.04.

I had created an LDAP server and LDAP client.

I am able to do ldapsearch -x and getent passwd successfully

I am also able to ssh to my ldap client.

However when I login into the Ubuntu GUI , it blacks out and then stays the same. I am not able to login into the Ubuntu GUI with my LDAP client username and password.

Could anyone help me on the same plz?

My guess: Your problem is that GDM's PAM configuration was not adapted to LDAP. See for example https://stackoverflow.com/questions/...t-work-via-gui.

By the way, try not to include URGENT in your thread titles. Personally, it tends to turn me off when I see that people want me to prioritize their problems. I am sure I am not the only one.
