Can i install win7 in this Lenovo and then install Ubuntu14.04 along side and then upgrade Grub same way i do with win XP and ubuntu, and then update win 7 to Win 10 TP?
i have Win XP and Xubuntu 14.04 on my Dell P4 i used the mode in the partition ''along side"
but when i try to install Ubuntu along side win 10 tP, the Along side option in the auto Partition doesn't show, i have auto partition, erase win 10,KVL, Others which is make partition manually.
If you used the LVM option, it may have overwritten your windows install. I'm seen posts in that regard at the Ubuntu forums but have never used LVM myself.
If you install windows 7 and then install Ubuntu, you may not see the "Alongside" option, not sure why that happens, but you would do best by using the Manual "Something Else" option so you know what is happening and can see and select the partitions or unallocated space to use. If you then upgrade to windows 10, you will need to reinstall Grub.
