CUPS exit status 4. Cancelled print job

Hi, I am trying to figure out why cups would exit with status 4. Following are the logs I got.

DEBUG: common.c:748 - PID 1074446 for command "/usr/lib/cups/backend/https" exited with status 4.

DEBUG: cups.c:502 -

DEBUG: cups.c:269 - Backend return status is: 4

I am using HP printer and ipps protocol. Printer is in ready state when this occurs.

Searching for "exit status 4" has turned up nothing, but I did find this that might be promising. https://www.suse.com/support/kb/doc/?id=000018188

The OP never followed up on this, so it's impossible to say what went wrong. I'll link to CUPS issue #5517 just to show how such problems should be reported. Status 4 just means "stop printer". The actual error that caused the printer to be stopped must come somewhere earlier in the log.
