No video playback with FireFox...whats missing ?

I just recently ditched my Win 10 system and installed OpenSuse Leap...Everything went fine except the above mentioned subject line. I've been away from Linux for over 3 years and have forgotten a lot...so my obvious question is what plugin/add-on am I missing...Flash ?
Thanks for reading and/or replying.

What websites are you trying to access for video content? Most places now use a HTML5 player (flash is pretty much obsolete nowadays). You could try the common video codec related software... check for ffmpeg, gstreamer, etc.

Although i'm not sure if those are necessary, firefox should come with a plugin titled "OpenH264 Video Codec provided by Cisco Systems, Inc.".

Did you follow the instructions for the version of OpenSUSE Leap [version:?] that you installed ?

Self uses openSUSE Leap 42.3 so used
https://forums.opensuse.org/showthre...82#post2831882

From there you can go back up to the MultiMedia section which includes recommendations to suit 42.1, 42.2 and Tumbleweed.

IMHO worth reading follow up comments for your version.

with suse and the NON free multimedia packages you need to use the Packman" repo AND!!! allow vendor change with setting the priority to less than 99 ( i set it at 90 )

this is something best done using the terminal and zypper if this is not a brand new install
a warning with a set of options will be displayed

on setting up a new install there is a "allow vendor change" checkbox in yast2
