Can't find "msgfmt"

I tried to compile a program but get this error:

msgfmt -f -v -o cs.mo cs.po
make[1]: msgfmt: Command not found
make[1]: *** [cs.mo] Error 127
make[1]: Leaving directory `/home/timothy/apps/gkrellm-2.2.4/po'
make: *** [all] Error 2

Anyone know where I can get msgfmt?

Thanks.
