You are on a Linux site, in the general Linux software section. I'll report your post and ask that it be moved to the Suse forum (which is here, by the way).
An upgrade from one major version to another major version has so many changes (especially in packages offered: versions, packages added, packages dropped) that you may end up with inconsistencies, broken packages, orphaned files, unexpected behaviors, etc. It's best to make a clean install of the new version.
