Jvm, jdk, netbeans

I'm trying to install JDK+Netbeans bundle, I've never had a problem with it before (ubuntu, slackware, etc). Today is the day.

Code:
Exception: java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError thrown from the UncaughtExceptionHandler in thread "main"

Also I tried to run a game, minecraft, which run on a JVM, and got the same error.

By now you have probably solved this, but I had the same issue that you had. For me the issue was related to the fact that I was trying to install the bundle and I did not have ia32-libs. I am running Ubuntu though so my issue might be different than yours, but the fix was to run the following first:

sudo apt-get install ia32-libs
