unable to "slackpkg update"

Network configured to use NetworkManager and graphical terminal has no problem connecting to internet. t1-t6 text terminals on running slackpkg update returns with wget: cannot resolve host for any mirror. I am using new installation of slackware 14.2 from DVD disk.
seems browser and slackpkg accessing network different way and one missing some configuration. ping to router address and my computer assigned IP address works ok, none external addresses are available.

You need to pick a 14.2 mirror in /etc/slackpkg/mirrors for your architecture.

I misread. Disregard this.

@mick19452017
For your name resolution reported issue on terminal (console), please check the content of the file /etc/resolv.conf
If it's empty, then for a temporary fix just add the following entry, substitute DNS_IP with your actual Nameserver (router GateWay IP or ISP provided Nameserver IP(s)):
Code:
nameserver DNS_IP
Test the name resolution afterwards on console with, for example:
Code:
nslookup www.slackware.com
I'm not using NetworkManager myself and cannot really help you with it, but this link might provide some help:

Seems mirrors file in /etc/slackpkg directory contained invalidated mirrors and update solved the issue
