Cool installation on btrfs file system is not possible

slackware-current install impossible on btrfs file system because btrfs tools are not available during installation.

I had Slackware installed with btrfs root using a ext2 boot partition.

Did you select btrfs from the installer menu or did you try it from the command prompt?

THX ReaperX7,

Actually I want report a bug and I didn't find better way. Shell I email to info@slackware.com or support@slackware.com?
To say more about the problem:
Did you install current or 14.1? Maybe this just a bug of the very current installation (kernel 4.1.6)?
The btrfs tools just not available from installation boot neither from setup menu (btrfs just not created and not mounted as a consequences) nor from terminal ("btrfs - command not found", "mkfs.btrfs - command not found").
In principle I did manage to install btrfs root via ext4 and next replicate of the whole root to btrfs (but it's not the way to be the right one?).

There are more problems with btrfs boot via initrd.gz:
It won't mount btrfs root via LABEL or UUID since "findfs" returns just empty string while on initrd, the same command from fully booted system works like a charm just returning the right device to mount. Maybe btrfs tools to be included in initrd or busybox to be recompiled?
"mkinitrd -c -m btrfs -B"

I started with 14.1 as an install platform, then just upgraded to -Current using the slackpkg mirror for -Current.

Before you installed, did you wipe out the partition table and then recreate it using either fdisk or gdisk?

This is a known issue and a bug in the installer builder has been fixed so that it won't skip over the btrfs-progs package.
I don't know when Pat will push it out, but it's on the list.

One question is still open:
Mount btrfs root via LABEL or UUID fails during boot, since "findfs" returns just empty string when on initrd, the same command, when real root device has been mounted, works like a charm just returning the right device to mount. Maybe some library missed from initrd or busybox to be recompiled?
"mkinitrd -c -m btrfs -B"
