Future direction

Hey Mara (sndwvs),

When Slackware 15 is released, will Slarm64:
  • Follow Slackware 15 and maintain Slarm64 15
  • Keep following Slackware current

Thanks for your work! Its a joy to use for me.

the archive has a bug in it, it cannot be unpacked (archív má v sebe chybu, nedá sa rozbaliť)

Testoval som archív vo Windows 7 programom 7z

Ok, got it.

I think the Xfce archive I downloaded might be corrupted, will try the updated images (will edit after trying).

Edit-
Updated image works.

Thanks!

Procedure to compile kernel modules

Hi Mara (sndwvs),

I am trying to compile a kernel module for a USB Wifi dongle.

Could you tell me what is needed to compile kernel modules? Its giving error:

Code:
# dkms build 8188eu/1.0
Error! echo
Your kernel headers for kernel 5.4.6+ cannot be found at
/lib/modules/5.4.6+/build or /lib/modules/5.4.6+/source.
You can use the --kernelsourcedir option to tell DKMS where it's located.
Code:
# make all
make ARCH=aarch64 CROSS_COMPILE= -C /lib/modules/5.4.6+/build M=/home/aaditya/git/rtl8188eus modules
make[1]: Entering directory '/usr/include'
make[1]: *** No rule to make target 'modules'. Stop.
make[1]: Leaving directory '/usr/include'
make: *** [Makefile:1911: modules] Error 2
Following kernel related packages are installed:
Code:
# ls -la /var/adm/packages/kernel-*
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 80576 Dec 26 17:02 /var/adm/packages/kernel-firmware-20191220_6871bff-noarch-1
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 12253 Dec 26 17:00 /var/adm/packages/kernel-firmware-rk3399-5.4.6-aarch64-2mara
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 29555 Dec 30 11:14 /var/adm/packages/kernel-headers-rk3399-5.4.6-aarch64-2mara
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 90362 Dec 26 17:00 /var/adm/packages/kernel-modules-rk3399-5.4.6-aarch64-2mara
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 1971 Dec 26 17:00 /var/adm/packages/kernel-rk3399-5.4.6-aarch64-2mara
I installed kernel-headers package but error remained present.

Thanks!

To build rtl8188eus, you need not only headers, but the sources of everything with its configuration.
to get the source code is easier to use slackware_arm_build_kit
