Hello!
The Slackware Installer images have been refreshed with the latest package set.
The
installation instructions have been updated where appropriate.
The Raspberry Pi installation no longer hands off to U-Boot as the second stage boot loader - the RPi's native boot loader is used entirely. This essentially reduces friction and time taken to onboard new RPi hardware models, and reduces technical complexity and bugs.
The RPi also no longer requires a separate /boot file system which makes it easier to install the OS entirely on external storage (there are no instructions for that yet but I'll probably do it later and maybe even script a tool for use within the Installer).
For existing RPi installations, U-boot will continue to work as is. If you want to migrate to the native BL, you will need to edit its config file; but if your RPi works fine, just leave it!
