X395 (Ryzen 3500U)

Is anyone out there running a Ryzen 3500 (or 3300 for that matter) processor?
Thinking to pick up a lenovo X395 and am curious about the Ryzen support from -current.
I understand the other desktop Ryzen boards are running fine so I'm optimistic

I'm running a Ryzen 2200G on -current with no issues. My understanding the the 3xxx chips are similar enough they should run fine on -current (they both use VEGA 8 on their APUs).

Did you finally pick it up? I am thinking of ordering a X395 as well. My old and trusty T460s is ready for retirement. According to the Ubuntu website it should run well but I would really like some real life data.

Nope sorry.. I'm holding out for the 7nm x13 now...
I understand people have used that architecture and it runs fine with -current though from what I've read I'd probably use 5.6 kernel..

Found multiple variants for the X395, this one seems close:

Its reported that it mostly works with Linux 5.0 and above.

OP here..
I pulled the trigger on a new Ryzen 4000 series Lenovo X13 a couple of days ago.
I've settled on loading -current and compiling a new 5.7+ or 5.8 kernel (depending on if it goes out of RC or not) on it as soon as I get it and will report my findings though probably in another thread.

I'm looking to get full DXVK with Crossover linux and Office 2016(365?) running on it along with Steam using Proton etc so I'll be screwing around a lot with AMD drivers and those kernel configs...

Nice, I hope you'll have a nice laptop with that. I finally bought a Lenovo E595 and it suffices. The processor is great and I loaded a boatload of memory in it. There was room for a SSD so I now have a dual boot system that just works very nice. On the downside, the E595 does NOT have a backlit keyboard - something I dreadfully overlooked and it is the only real gripe I have on the E595. I'll never make that mistake again, that's for sure.
