What changed between 14.0 and 14.1 to affect file manager's showing discs/usb's, etc?

Hi guys,

On a couple of my installs when upgrading from 13.37 or 14.0 to 14.1 after upgrading pcmanfm, the mate file manager etc discs and usb's are no longer visible in side pane and/OR if I open root file manager there's no drives listed in the side pane either.
Also noticed a lot of times as user it says permission denied when/if the drives are listed?!
I know the /run folder is kind of new right? What else changed to affect all this and HOW do I get back to where I can mount and see any drive??

Thanks

I just installed pcmanfm from slackbuilds.org, started it, plugged in an USB key that showed in the side pane and that raised a pop-up to ask me what to do with it. That's on Slackware 14.1 under fluxbox.

So everything seems OK and I assume that's more a problem with your system's configuration. Maybe an issue when upgrading?

I prefer to make fresh installations, as all in all I find that safer and faster that upgrade.

Of course as regular user you are a member of appropriate groups?

Of course you did set the preferences about removable devices in pcmanfm?
