Unable to compile jovie using my.slackbuild from Eric's kde4.8

Have the latest and greatest KDE from Eric installed and working really well, with one exception. The jovie/kttsd speech system is not working, and checking, it seems that it isn't installed.
No problem I thought, just follow the instructions inside the my.slackbuild file included with the source and I should be able to add it for myself.

Trouble is, I keep getting this error;-

Code:
SlackBuild processing module '/home/vic/Downloads/4.8.0/source/kde/src/jovie-4.8.0.tar.bz2'
** Did not find 'Binary' in src
** Did not find 'file' in src
grep: Unmatched ( or \(
** Did not find '(standard' in src
grep: Unmatched ) or \)
** Did not find 'input)' in src
** Did not find 'matches' in src
mv: cannot stat `/tmp/kde-build//home/vic/Downloads/4.8.0/source/kde/src/jovie-4.8.0.tar.bz2/*.t?z': No such file or directory
Anyone had any success in getting this working at all?

TIA

What command did you try to run? The output you posted looks like you didn't use the correct syntax. Did you check http://alien.slackbook.org/blog/kde-...de-slackbuild/ ?

Also, I left out the jovie package for a reason: it needs a speech subsystem like speechd and Slackware does not have that. So, jovie will not compile.

Followed that info and got it working fine. Had to download and build speech dispatcher, and uncomment jovie from the kdeaccessibility file in the source directory and now works.
Seems I interpreted the instructions inside the slackbuild which says to install a single package include the source directory and package name. Still, another thing learned.
Unfortunately it does not do what I was hoping, which is to read documents from the likes of Libreoffice and PDFs. Still, interesting concept which I hope will get better with time.
