mouse's forward and backward (side buttons) slackware 14.1

Hi, I the backward and foward buttons of my usb mouse work perfectly in dolphin, chrome, but does not in konqueror in slackware 14.1. I tried to google for a solution but could not find anything.
Has anyone had this problem and was able to solve it?
