Hard Drive Q's

Hello everyone this is my first port and I looked through all the others and didn't find anything really related to it.

I am converting from redhat for educational reason's. mostly I want to try a not so user friendly distro and my linux teacher told me slack would be good to learn on.

I did have one problem during the install. In cfdisk it didn't recognize my second hard drive. It did detect it during boot as i saw it flash by when the kernel was loading.

I have 2 hard drives, 1 20 gig for windows and a 10 gig for linux. I ended up just moving one of my windows partitions to the second disk and putting slack on the first disk. This works fine and other than configuring my nic it has been a fairly succesful install.

So does anyone have an idea of what I can do to put this on the second disk? It's not a life or death matter by any means but I prefer to have them seperate.

Thanks

Yeah during setup, by default if you just type cfdisk it will only read /dev/hda which is most likely your first hard drive on the primary IDE. If you have a second slave drive, type cfdisk /dev/hdb and it should allow you to setup the partitions there. Then during the install you should see these partitions so you can set them accordingly.
