Yeah, the l-tryptophan haze is setting in here, too. Bird was good. Sides were good. Sprouts got a bit dry, but I absolutely stuck the landing on the gravy this year. Gravy--the best part of Thanksgiving!

No bird here, we had beef - so the only haze kicking in is the alcohol(beer) .

It was a good one for me...I got a hot meal for once. The owners of the trailer park I live in invited me to their Thanksgiving supper and I ate good. They had lots of family and friends there so there was always conversation too, heh. It sure beat a bologna sandwich and some ramen noodles (when one is as dirt-poor as I am, that's a good meal). So yep, I'm truly thankful this year for the warm home (it sucks having to keep my thermostat at 60 degrees because I can't afford to heat in our late Fall and through the winter here, lol) at least for a couple of hours, the good conversations (don't get anyone visiting 58 year old, grey-bearded veteran and biker), and especially all the wonderful home cooked food. They had ham *and* turkey, all the trimmin's, and three different kinds of desert. I honestly can't remember a Thanksgiving in the past 19 years since I've been disabled and poor as dirt that was as nice, so yes, Thanksgiving was exactly that this year. I hope it was just as great for everyone else!

We had a good Thanksgiving with our children and their spouses. Both the food and the fellowhip was good. We played games together and had a great time with our grandchildren. Our church had a special Thanksgiving service and we enjoyed some good songs of praise and meeting fine friends.

Happy Thanksgiving to all of you!

If you're ever riding through West Texas, you will always have a rest point here.
And not just you, any Slacker can stop here for a meal, night, talk, whatever. Just drop me a message.
