Announcing LQ Radio

As I first made public on the LQ Podcast, I am happy to announce the public beta of LQ Radio. LQ Radio will be an Internet Radio show about Linux and Open Source that will be hosted by me and some of the LQ mods. The first show should be ready within a couple weeks. You can visit the site for more info or to give feedback (we'd appreciate any feedback you have). Stay Tuned.

Fantastic. Way to fill the void, guys. Once again LQ shows itself to be the one-stop-shop of Linux sites.

In the podcast thread you mentioned an IRC channel being set up so that users could chat to the mods (like talkback hour on regular radio) the only issue that I see and thought I might point it out to you just in case you haven't thought of it yet...
What do you do about people who think it is a "faster better" way to get questions answered? a direct line to the gods... er mods. Or people who just want to post stupid stuff. What do you do then? How do you mod an irc channel?

The channel operators moderate a channel. One can kick, ban, or even just mute people should the need arise.

And having that be just for the "hour" I don't see it getting quite so out of hand. If it were a channel that constantly existed, certainly more measures would need to be taken.

Cool

I like the freedom piece. Perhaps you could leave that for the podcasts?

whos with me in liking the freedom piece?

the new intro is awesome, but there is just something catchy about the freedom intro.

umm.. how about a short sound byte to show that the show is over?
