OpenWRT and Sony Bravia TV connection issues

Sony Bravia TVs as of 2021 apparently do not support 802.11w Management Frame Protection. Turn it off in your router if that is an option. This will also limit you to WPA-2 on the wireless channel used for that purpose. Verified with a Turris Omnia and a Mox running their version of OpenWRT. Discovered by extensive trial and error, the Sony system provides no diagnostic information, nor have I found any other reference. Posting here for future internet searches.
