CentOS 7 on VMware increase volume group

I have a CentOS 7 server that I am testing with. I have 2 volume groups, ol and db. The ol is for the operating system and the db is for databases. I am trying to figure out how I can start with a 5GB /dev/sdb and then in VMware increase it by 10GB and add the extra 10GB to the db volume group. I started with the 5GB and created the logical volumes db01 and db02. Then in vCenter increased the disk from 5GB to 15GB. Do I create a partition? Then if I need to increase again to keep creating partitions?

#ssm list
---------------------------------------------------------
Device Free Used Total Pool Mount point
---------------------------------------------------------
/dev/sda 50.00 GB
/dev/sda1 1.00 GB /boot
/dev/sda2 4.00 MB 48.99 GB 49.00 GB ol
/dev/sdb 0.00 KB 5.00 GB 15.00 GB db
---------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------
Pool Type Devices Free Used Total
------------------------------------------------
db lvm 1 0.00 KB 5.00 GB 5.00 GB
ol lvm 1 4.00 MB 48.99 GB 49.00 GB
------------------------------------------------
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Volume Pool Volume size FS FS size Free Type Mount point
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
/dev/ol/root ol 46.99 GB xfs 46.97 GB 44.52 GB linear /
/dev/ol/swap ol 2.00 GB linear
/dev/db/db01 db 3.00 GB xfs 2.99 GB 2.96 GB linear /db01
/dev/db/db02 db 2.00 GB xfs 1.99 GB 1.95 GB linear /db02
/dev/sda1 1.00 GB xfs 1014.00 MB 697.53 MB /boot

I can't figure out what I need to do to get that 10GB available to use.

With a Windows server, granted it is GUI based, I can increase the space and then rescan the disk and expand that drive. I figured there has to be a way to do something similar with Linux, no GUI, as Linux usually has 10x as many ways to do something than Windows.

Main goal is to have a method to increase the disk in vCenter and then take the newly created space and increase the volume group.

Since you appear to be using then entire drive (unpartitioned) as a pv - congratulations BTW - you should be able to simply pvresize /dev/sdb. Same thing next time. You will still have to resize the lv's manually as appropriate.
