[SOLVED] Slackware-Current: Updating question

I don't keep this laptop up to date - every 6 months or so I do it, until the next release. And I like to get a snapshot of current when I update. Because if I need extra matching stuff, I have it, whereas Current may have moved on.

I'm not afraid of the command line. But I'm not shot on either slackpkg or slackroll. Mind you, that may be because I have gone through the inevitable farting about that goes with any update, on top of which, I overwrote the config files as .orig and dumped in the new ones and I haven't finished suffering yet over that. I'm also updating AppImages, compiles, etc.
