X2GO Connection issue

X2go Server. 64 Bit Fedora 29. SSH running XFCE running
X2GO client 64 Bit Fedora 31 SSH running X2GO using XFCE desktop.

When I start X2go Client it shows "A connection error" on the screen of the client machine but continues to log into the Server. I can control the server from the client without any issues, that I have been able to find.

The Error message reads.
Connection failed. Cannot create remote file ~<server user name>/.x2go/ssh/key.taJiAa - SCP: Warning: status code 1 received: scp: ~Gorden/.x2go/ssh: No such file or directory

Note the <server user name> is the user name name on the X2GO server machine.

The Server has libssh version 0.8.7 and libssh2 version 1.9.0 installed and updated

The client has libssh version 0.9.3 and libssh2 version 1.9.0 installed.

I can connect using Filzilla and putty using ssh so the ssh seems to be working ok

looking for ideas to fix the reception of the error message.

I am seeing the same behaviour with x2goclient and server running between Ubuntu 18.0.4 desktops.

I suspect it may be related to the bug reported here https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugr...cgi?bug=947129

Thanks. Hopefully there will be a fix at some time. I have seen a post, forget where now, that libssh4 works but I have not looked for libssh4 as yet might be better to wait till a fix comes to save mixing things up.

There was an update for X2goclinet yesterday. to 4.1.2.1-5 but this has not fixed the problem;

Error received
Connection failed. Cannot create remote file ~<user name>/.x2go/ssh/key.taJiAa - SCP: Warning: status code 1 received: scp: ~<user name>/.x2go/ssh: No such file or directory

Note the "/key.taJiAa" changes each time I try to log in.

So it would appear that going from X2goclient 4.1.2.1-4 to 4.1.2.1-5 has not fixed the issue.

Would like to get it fixed. The machine is fully up to date using the fedora 31 repositories
