I am using Higan v106 with Ubuntu 18.04. I can't get the gamepad to work even though I have configured the buttons. I previously used it with Ubuntu 16.04 with no problem. Has anyone else had this problem? Is there a solution, I can't seem to find anything on this.
Be a lot more precise in your question. Is there a url for hogan v106, or is it a windows thing? What gamepad are you talking about? What have you done? Whats the error? etc.
No this is not a Windows thing. As I stated this is higan on Ubuntu 18.04. Higan on Ubuntu 16.04 worked perfectly with this Logitech game pad. The game pad configuration menu allows one to set the stick and buttons to use for play in higan. After upgrading to Ubuntu 18.04 I simply cannot get this thing to work. I have uninstalled and reinstalled higan from the Ubuntu repo, but the problem persists.
I would suggest that you grab the latest release, build it manually, and see if it works.
Ensure first that you have removed all traces of higan previously on your computer, including any higan personal configuration .files and .directories in your home directory.
Hi kblakley, could you find a solution or at least a trail? I'm experiencing the same problem since I upgraded to 18.04 a few days ago...
If you're using a usb controller hub, sesearch reddit for "Higan sets up controller correctly but does not work ingame", it could help.
(Sorry, I can't put the URL cause I never posted any question...)
