Angry How? Run portable apps like firefox on seperate drive [Storage Drive] "USB" "HDD" "SSD" ?

I want to run portable apps like Firefox on a separate storage drive;
such as a USB, HDDrive, SSDrive.

Gentoo, Debian, and RPM distros run portable apps on separate storage drives.
It is not running for me on Slackware Distros.

Here is a link to portable "self-contained" Firefox.
https://download-installer.cdn.mozil...66.0.1.tar.bz2

I do not want to run it on the same partition and drive as the OS/Slackware.

What doesn't work? It runs fine here on 14.2.

theoretically you can put it anywhere and run it from anywhere. So if it does not work it won't work from any other partition and drive too.
Without knowing the details hard to say anything. What OS is it exactly and what's happened exactly?

How about linking to something that describes your errors?

Permissions on external drive and a /etc/fstab edit might be in order here.

Unless removable drives are auto mounted and have user access also given in his Slackware session.

Whatever that is?
