want more workspaces in 16.04

Hi All.

I have 16.04 w/ the unity desktop. I have workspaces enabled and I'm getting four of them. I want more, like six.

I started dconf-editor and changed "4" to "6" under org.gnome.desktop.wm.preferences.num-workspaces but I don't get six and if I reboot I still don't get six, only four.

Any help in getting more workspaces would be apprecited. Thanks.

Editing graphical configuration files directly seldom works in these complex desktops as the files tend to get overwritten at shut-down. You need to use a tool and apparently the correct one for this version of Ubuntu is the “CompizConfig Settings Manager” . See https://www.maketecheasier.com/tweak...rkspaces-unity.

Thanks. That did it.

1) install CompizConfig Settings Manager
2) fire up
3) click General
4) click General Options
5) click Desktop Size tab
6) adjust
7) click back
8) click close
