Ok. Now I understand.

Knowledge is power, ignorance is darkness. It's not about Patrick. This is a proverb.
2.1 Ok, now I'll create a new topic and call it "Fresh-roll-list of software for Slackware". Let someone from the moderators stick it.

what is this? no real explanation as to what this is all about? fresh rolls come from the bakery, or your ma ma's kitchen stove. Mostly of all, they usually don't last long enough to put them on a list.

who updated them?
who compiled them and put them into an install package?
am I too just install this stuff just cuz?

though it's nice you're trying to take an active "roll" off of the plate. I do not see where you are really taking Alien Bob advice in your quote above. no explanation at all is still on you menu for rolls.

1. This topic is created for unloading/discharging/dumping "Requests for -current (14.2-->15.0)". :-|
2. And this thread for Slackware Community, but not for its maintainer.

We already have a thread about software requests for 14.2---> 15.0.

Yes, hitest, but Ne01eX started this thread so that some of the noise could be offloaded here, and that thread could remain more focused.

Just to understand the purpose: you want to list all software from stock slackware which have a newer version anyway?

Or you want to do a list of selected software that you think need an upgrade in order to be productive?

Or is it new software and old together that “we’d” like to have included in the whenever it gets here Slackware update/upgrades version?

Are them links to newly compiled updated software, and you’re wanting others to do the same. Add newly compiled updates for others to install on current. Why not provide slackbuilds. This thread is confusing to me.

Lightbulb

I myself made a little confusion, mentioning unbound and qt-creator. :-) In the context of the topic, they, of course, are superfluous here. :-)

Today was released:

a/cryptsetup : cryptsetup-2.0.3.tar.xz (into slackware-current: 1.7.5)
xap/seamonkey : seamonkey-2.49.3.source.tar.xz (into slackware-current: 2.49.3)

You can download and update it yourself, without waiting for the appearance of this software in "slackware-current".

I'm not really sure what is meant.

Is it software x has been updated please add it to slackware? In which case I have already seen similar threads in here.

Or is it software x has been updated install it now? In which case I can imagine people's slackware becoming quite broken.

That's what happens when everyone gives you feedback and coaching into how to participate more productively (or, tbh, less uselessly), and you spend two months proudly ignoring that advice. As in, using smilies to declare that you'd ignore it.
