Question scientific linux fails to start after install


installed scientific Linux 6.2 basic server, booted after install a few times but fails to start with RIP [<ffffffffa013a16d>] xhci_hub_control 0x38d/0xbd0 [xhci_hcd]

appreciate any tips on how to resolve the issue.

6.2 is five years old and may not run on newer hardware. Why not use 6.9?

Hardware compatibility

By the time the post was released found that the processor is not supported by this Linux version

Looks like issue with kernel USB. i think play around with kernel boot parameter (may be usbcore.autosuspend=-1), worth a try.
