New install 14.2 - Firefox not updating

Just got Slackware up and running, but Firefox seems to be a mess.
It's v. 45.2.0 ESR - is that not kind of old?
And how do I get it to update?
Or do I have to do that manually?
And all attempts to add extensions result in "extension is corrupt"

What have I done wrong here?

OK, I sort of figured it out, and have FF67 running. But:
in the Preferences, "Updates are disabled by administrator"
and I can't delete those other Search engines - why not?
Any ideas?

nevermind - it somehow fixed itself.
