It's good, I think.
I tried
pkexec env DISPLAY=$DISPLAY XAUTHORITY=$XAUTHORITY KDE_SESSION_VERSION=5 KDE_FULL_SESSION=true dolphin /
and looks like that launches Dolphin as a root user. I did not test things since I don't need it right now but there will be a next time.

but that /etc/sddm.conf file does not exist on my Kubuntu 20.04 so I skipped that step.
PART 1:
sudo passwd root
It will ask you to create a password
PART 2:
open file /etc/pam.d/sddm <---that is a text file
At the near top of that file, comment out this line
auth required pam_succeed_if.so user != root quiet_success
and log out and log in as root. I tested, it works.
