wireless intranet with linux laptop plus androids not interconnecting
I have a Belkin wireless router (AC1200) with no internet connection (none desired).
The router assigned addresses to each device.
router 192.168.2.1
laptop 192.168.2.2 - with apache server
pixel 192.168.2.4
alcatel 192.168.2.3
the laptop can find its server page, ping its own address, and the router's (wired or wirelessly) but the phones are 'off the hook'.
they connect to the router and report their correct ip addresses but I can't ping the router (192.168.2.1) or any other device - even their own ip.
the router's firewall is off, all other settings are defaults and should work.
how do I get them to communicate?
