I'm on Android-8.0.0 patch level 1 (thinks: why isn't that 8.0.1?)
I want to be able to store video directly on an sd card, as my son has a unique act and does live gigs. The idea was to grab a 64G or 128G card, video the entire gig, stopping after each song, and let him edit the results. He's very half-assed about getting his stuff online. The S7 Edge mic seems adequate, and I can stick in an external one if it isn't. I just need to get videos to be sent to SD.
Alternatively, could I overflow storage to sd card? That would be really neat.

No, I'm busy trying that at the moment. I have a 16G SD card, and I'll wipe and trial it. But I thought I'd ask as I hoped someone had the phone & knew. I was going through contents last night. The SD Card goes back to 2012. While I have the SD in the PC, the phone doesn't display this stuff.
Trialled it. and it's sorted. Thx. The standard camera has the sdcard option, an option for voice control, and a button on the shot. That last one is VERY handy for one-handed me.
