absence of linux mint home page ,and inability to access forums
since about 5 days ago ,I have not been able to access the mmint home page with firefox ,as I was able to.When I would open the browser ,my mint homepage would display ,but now it wont even let me access any of mint's forums etc.
Thanking you.
If you mean https://linuxmint.com/, I was able to connect to it seamlessly with Firefox 68.2.
Try starting Firefox from the command line and going to that page; some helpful error messages may appear in the terminal. Also, try using another browser for comparison purposes, then tell us what happened, including the text of any error messages you receive, being sure to surround any terminal output with "code" tags which become available when you click the "Go Advanced" button beneath the compose post window..
I have tried the following:
tried Chrome web browser ,other web browser ,which gave me the same result. no result ;I used "fping" in the terminal ,and it said " unreachable"Thanks for all your help ,I am beginning tothink ,that firefox is leaving a lot to be desied.
katosan
I have found Firefox to be quite reliable. Given that the problem has happened with other browsers, it is likely that Firefox can be ruled out as the culprit.
