Question No sound in TrackMania Nations Forever in PlayOnLinux.

Hi.

I have no sound in Track Mania Nations For Ever 2.11.26 on PlayOnLinux 4.2.10.

The video is perfect.

Is there a fix?

Thanks.

Maybe: https://appdb.winehq.org/objectManag...36193&sAllBugs

Which version of Wine are you using for Track Mania? If its an older version maybe try a newer one.

The comment on the website is: "Remember to download "wrap_oal.dll" and copy it to the game directory to get sound and "d3dx9_36" to system32 for graphics problems."

Hi RD. Where is 'wrap_oal.dll'? I found 'd3dx9_36' in POL >> Install Components section.

Hmm, those comments usually are helpful on that site. Well, I've recently come across information that PlayOnLinux 4 is being replaced with: https://phoenicis.org/

Also you might want to try Lutris to see if it works for you: https://lutris.net/games/trackmania-nation-forever/

I suppose I could always try the snap version of TMNF also. I'd love to get my old POL TMNF back with sound though.

Lightbulb

The fix was easy in the end. I selected Wine version 1.7.19 (x32) - other 1.7 versions probably also work. Voila - audio is back!
