The Defenitive Guide To Linux Network Programming (Davis/Turner/Yocom)

Helloix,

I'm doing the course (see title)...

On my Linux (Ubuntu/Red Hat) LAN everything works fine.
This week I've created a shell login account at sdf.org
with ARPA rights. The first client-server code generated
some errors/warning after compiling on the (BSD) sdf nodes.
I adjusted the code of the server and only get warnings
no errors anymore. So.. it works :-)

My question is... has any Linux user finished the book
with the client running Linux and the server running BSD?
Will I encounter other problems? I also do the beej's
Guide to Network Programming. Had to adjust server also.

Grtz

The client-server communication isn't relative to OS and client can talk to any type of server, even if Windows.
