I am running LMDE 2 and want to use Chrome Remote Desktop, I installed the package everything seems fine, but when I run it and share the computer I got the same pop up ask to install the host installer, I done it thousand times but still the same, I couldn't get pass that part, I check the software manager and find the app installed successful I don't know what went wrong, any idea ?
what about the other computer you're trying to connect to?
what about the software's documentation? did you read that, follow their instructions?
what about soem output, something tangible that would enable us to help you?
joboy, what is the exact text of the popup message? It is always useful to place that text between quotes and search for it on the web to see if anyone else has previously experienced the same problem.
When I start Google Desktop I was asked to install an add-on and I did that but nothing happened after installation, I restart the Google desktop and it asked me the same thing on and on I can never complete the installation or it refused to start properly.

Chrome is not in the repos., LMDE is Debian not Ubuntu, of course some tweaking will do, I just want to keep it original to eliminate another problem.
Chrome isn't in the Ubuntu repos either. You download it from Google (https://www.google.com/chrome/) and installing it adds the Google repository to your software sources.
I would suggest that you either use Chrome itself or choose another of the remote desktop packages out there.
I've been using Teamviewer for long time, just thought it would be easier for those I am supporting to use Chrome remote desktop and like to compare the two. Btw I stall Chrome within Ubuntu repos b4 no problem may be thing has changed in the pass couple years I dunno.
