Performance is Linux text-only-mode

Hi,
I've started my own server on opensuse 15 (xfce).
I'm curious if switching to text mode version, will improve system performance, especially in hosting game server like minecraft or cs.

Intel Core 2 Duo 2.9Ghz
3 Gb Ram
Graphic card - none

yes.
it's also safer for a server.
also, the gui can interfere with server functionality.
all in all, a server should not have a gui.

in general you have to switch off everything you don't need. apps, services, servers, whatever.
