I'm looking to replace my ageing ath9k USB dongle. It serves as an AP, broadcasting 2 SSIDs and those are the minimum parameters I'd like to keep.
I found
this information gem, and am looking for feedback with concrete dongles, if anyone has such experience. Based on the table, I guess I'll go Mediatek.
Related question: In AP mode, I understand that only 1 band can be active, so for a dual band AP I'd need 2 dongles, right?
I've been out of the wifi loop since around 802.11n, so a lot to learn...
