It rules compared to a file manager that doesn't even have the option to "move to" or "copy to" a file or directory.
I also like the customizability of all the colors. It doesn't have a theme that works for me out of the box, but I could make it integrate well with my system theme with just a few clicks.
I already changed my "main filemanager" keybind to xfe :-)
It seems to be slow to open directories with many images with thumbnail preview turned on though...
Xfe all the way: light, fast, has a ton of functionality. I wish it did bulk renames but I can use other apps for that. Dolphin wins a close second for best file manager: it too is tremendously powerful. Only problem with Dolphin is it comes with 2.7 billion dependencies, but if you are already using KDE, no worries.
The latest PCLinuxOS MATE edition ships with both Caja and emelFM. emelFM uses the old GTK+1 toolkit. Its look's so much different than most modern apps. emelFM is a double pane file manager. It's not the easiest to work with because it doesn't open up documents in their default apps just by clicking on the documents. You have to push "open with" and give the command of the app to open the document with that app.
Just discovered this thread now. Too bad voting is closed, would have added a vote for Worker. Been using that since my first Linux, back in 2004 or 5.

By the looks of it, Worker could have done with your support.
